NovemBlog Day 21 : A I U E Ohayou!

Honestly.. we are too lazy to attend this class.  You know why?  Because ever since from the start, I, personally doesn't have any interest in learning the languange.. probably because I think that there's no need to learn about it.  It sucks that we are spending our every Wednesday this past few months just because of this class... it really sucks!  I just can't wait for the last session. Hmp!

Gotta go!  I need to pack my things for tomorrow's practice. :)

NovemBlog Day 20 : Practice!

We had our very first practice for our Christmas presentation today.. and based on my assessment.. we still have a loooonnnnggg waaayyy to go!  Good luck to us! Aja!

NovemBlog Day 18 : Weekend Haul!

After watching Ingrid's video about the stuffs in her shower, I decided to go out and buy the long overdue shower rack that I needed in my bathroom.. unfortunately, I could not find any within the area (I shopped at Paseo De Sta. Rosa & South Supermarket) but I was lucky to buy a few things.. :))

..actually they were quite a lot!  So I will take my time to tell you about these things.  Also, I would like to clarify that I just got excited on these things, and I was not paid to advertise it.  Another thing is that, this is my first time to buy these products, as I said, I just got excited and I just wanted to try it out.

SWISH Breath Spray in Arctic Chill and Peppermint Fresh - Honestly, before, I really don't like the feel of using a breath spray.  I had the first taste of it way back in college and I really hated the feeling.  For me, it seems like someone just sprayed a pressurized hose filled with eficascent oil on your face.. but it always amazes me everytime I see someone using a breath spray... it just gives me a feeling of freshness.  That's why I always try to experiment on using different types of breath sprays since I had a terrible experience on my first try.  So I when I saw this, I literally hoarded the two types, the Arctic Chill and Peppermint Fresh.

SWISH Mouthwash in Arctic Chill - For the longest time, I had been using the different brand of mouthwash so upon seeing this item, I thought that I should try another brand so I got it.

pH CARE Intimate Wash in Shower Splash - Compared to the mouthwash, I have always been using the brand pH Care but I have always used the green one which is the Cool Wind one.  And I think now is the best time to try the Shower Splash.

ASIAN SECRETS Benkoang Indonesian Whitening Soap - I've never been a fan of whitening products but due to my laziness in bringing or using an umbrella under this tropic weather, this has resulted to an uneven skin tone on my arm area, that's why I decided to use some whitening products just to even out my skin color.  So I am trying out this new product in the market which is Asian Secrets and to try out this Benkoang Indonesian Whitening Soap since it has Moisturizing Olive Oil, because commonly, whitening products tends to make the skin dry that's why the label caught my attention that it moisturizes your skin.

ASIAN SECRETS Lulur Indonesian Whitening Scrub - And to have a very satisfying result from my reason of buying the item above, this next product should also accompany the whitening soap, which is the body scrub... which will also helps in the exfoliation of my skin.

REJOICE Creambath Rich Straightening Treatment - To those who really know me, knows that I don't go to the parlor for hair treatment, and my mom is the one who cuts my hair and I do the treating.  I have always been using Rejoice as my hair product and when I saw this one, I decided to try it out since I also needed I hair treatment product because I just finished using a container of my Watson's Hot Oil treatment cream... and knowing that it is Rejoice I can assure that I would love using this product.

REJOICE Anti-Hairfall Conditioner - I think this is one of the newest addition to the Rejoice Conditioner line.. and I should definitely try it out.

OLAY Hydrating Moisture Daily Renewal Bodywash - I have always used either the Johnson's Body Bath or the Safeguard Bodywash, but when I was at the supermarket and was literally smelling the different body wash products, this one really caught my nose... it really smells good and I can't wait to try it out... tomorrow!

Toothbrush Container - I need a toothbrush and toothpaste container for my stuffs at the office... and this definitely solves my problem... and it's cute!

BENCH Sweet Serendipity Shower Gel - Honestly, it was the colors that caught my attention, and when I smelled it, I loved it!

BENCH Sweet Serendipity Body Lotion - I was really planning to buy a hand cream that I can keep in my bag or leave on my office drawer, and just like the shower gel, the packaging caught my attention, but when I smelled it.. I fell inlove with this body lotion.  It reminds me of Victoria's Secret in Endless Love.  It smells good but definitely a lot cheaper.

That's all folks! Hopefully I could do a review on the items above as soon as I start using them. :))

NovemBlog Day 17 : Too Lazy To Move!

It's Saturday and I am not feeling well.. still recovering from being sick last week, and this cough really sucks!  It is literally killing me.. :(  I wanna go out.. but I can't! Damn!

I was supposed to attend the Red Cross Millionaire's Run but it was cancelled, and rescheduled on February.  I just stayed at home.. and I am too lazy to do anything... even writing a blog entry, notice the date I wrote this entry?  That is how lazy this day is!

NovemBlog Day 16 : Zumba!

It's Friday and it's Zumba Day today!  Nothing more to say, but here's a picture of the students before the Pilates and Zumba session.

Sorry but I cannot share any video regarding our Zumba session since the program is exclusive for the students. :)

Haul!

Bought new stuffs during my Market Market and Serendra experience.

Here's what I bought at Banana Peel Market Market.. slippers!

I also bought the pink Blue Magic pouch on the next picture at Market Market, together with the things I bought at Power Books Serendra--Archie Comics and Daycraft planner for 2013 in pink!

I really enjoyed strolling at Serendra since the ambiance is like at ATC.

Can't wait to explore more of Serendra on my next visit. :)

NovemBlog Day 15 : AR(rrrr)TICLE again!

Remember my NovemBlog Day 12 post about the article?   Well, I have to do another two today since we need to report the feature on the Manila Bay Clean-Up Run last July 15 and the Run, Ride and Roll for Pasig River last September 30.

I am now being frustrated as a writer! hahaha! ...but I am lovin' it!

NovemBlog Day 14 : at St. Luke's Global

I was running late when Kuya Mariano picked me up at Caltex Paseo at around 8:20 am to go to St. Luke's Medical Center in Global City, Taguig for the Symposium on Labor Laws Critical to HR Practitioners.  Luckily, I arrived on time after he dropped me off at around 9:15 am at the hospital lobby.

It was my first time to go to that prestigious and world class hospital--and I am in awe on how beautiful it is... imagine, stepping into the hospital which was named as one of the 25 Most Beautiful Hospitals in The World.  The lobby was totally grand and it was like being in a five-star hotel abroad.  It is equipped with the latest technology in medical world, health and wellness center, as well as the perks that you may need if you would be staying (i hope not because of illness) in the hospital for a period of time.  The idea of having a National Bookstore in the building simply amazes me.

Unfortunately, we had to start at around 10:00 am, around 30 minutes delayed since the speakers were also stucked with the normal C5 traffic.  I will have a separate entry on the items discussed since it was a day-long symposium with different topics so I better save it for another entry.

The seminar ended at around 5:10 pm and my dad picked me up and we went straight to Market Market since he and his officemates will be having a meeting, and I took the chance to roam around Market Market and Serendra during their meeting.  We got home at around 10 pm and I was really tired to update my blog, that's why I am a day delayed on this post. :)

NovemBlog Day 13 : I Can Smell Christmas

I forgot to tell about the meeting we had last November 12 regarding our Christmas Party preparation, and in relation to this, I prepared the bulletin board as teaser for the upcoming company event.  Our theme is all about The Oscars and it'll be a red carpet affair.  I just forgot to save a copy of the banners that I made but I will surely share this to you guys. :)

NovemBlog Day 12 : AR(gh)TICLE!

Today is the deadline for the Yabane entry as well as the article for our company's global news.  Thankfully after rushing everything.. I was able to submit two entries.  It was supposed to be three entries however, the quality of the pictures during our fire drill was not that good so I ended up submitting about the Mangrove Planting as well as our participation during the Pink Run.

I got the feedback in the afternoon, and guess what??? My entry regarding the Pink Run was chosen to be featured for the Yabane's new edition, this is in preparation for the upcoming sponsorship run of our head office in Osaka this coming Januuary. :)

I'm going to post the screenshots as soon as I have a copy of my articles.

NovemBlog Day 11 : My Bag + Make-Up Bag

So what's inside my bag?

..how about my make-up bag?

I hope you enjoyed the video.. since it's my first time to vlog. :)

NovemBlog Day 10 : Sick!

I had been sick since the night before, with severe headache and tremendous cough.. I think my lungs and throat would just burst out any moment.

Since our Christmas Party is coming up in a few days, we had a meeting last Thursday and we were assigned to do Dirty Dancing.  So what I did was.. well.. watch and study the film, and get some ideas on what are we going to do.

That's what happens when you are sick and can't go out on a weekend.

NovemBlog Day 9 : Managing Conflict and Dealing With Unacceptable Employee Behavior

Too much for a title right?

Today, we (Mhy and I) attended two very interesting seminars at the Asian Institute of Management.  It was a running joke for the both of us that we were selected to attend this seminar not because we came from the HRAD Division but probably we were the conflicts that they need to manage, as well as the employees with the unacceptable behavior.  Haha!

The first seminar was How To Manage Conflict and Confrontation.  The speaker was Dr. Virgel Binghay.  He was a very animated speaker, however, since the seminar was only on a half-day schedule, it became fast paced in the latter part.

Since we would be attending two separate seminars, it just means that lunch is not included.  So, me and Mhy walked our way to Greenbelt and ate our lunch at Reyes Barbecue, since it is the only fast food that doesn't have a long queue of hungry people like us.  I ordered Burger Steak, while my companion ordered Bangus Belly.  We both had a large iced tea to quench our thirst.

We need to go back to the venue at around 1:30 pm so we still had time to roam around Greenbelt, that's why we had the chance to look into the Mango store.  I was thinking of buying a new wallet/coin purse and Mhy was convincing me to buy matching dresses.  We agreed to be back to the store after the seminar since it was almost 1:30 pm.

I was quite impressed with Coach Randy Esguerra who led the seminar on How To Deal With Unacceptable Employee Behavior.  He made it quite easy to understand by relating the topics with athletes as well as making it relate-able.  I would love to attend other seminars with him as the speaker since he was quite generous in giving examples as well as making the crowd alive since it was held in the afternoon which was siesta time.

Coach Randy finished his talk at 5:00pm and as soon as the Q & A portion was over, me and Mhy immediately worked our way outside the building.  Since the venue is in Makati, and we will be heading our way back to Laguna, we need to leave the place early to avoid the Friday rush.

Catching Up!

Since my laptop crashed last Thursday and it took me over a day to repair it.. I'd be catching up on my blog posts today. :)

NovemBlog Day 8 : Crashed!

Today was definitely a busy day.. everyone cramming, and I guess everyone was in a bad mood.  We were rushing things.. especially those that are For Signature since my boss will be leaving for Japan and will be back after two weeks.

I wished that I will be spared by the bad vibes... but no! Currently, I am writing on my netbook and it is one of the hardest thing for me since I find it hard to manipulate this thingy because of its size...  you know why I am using this one? Because my great ol' laptop crashed! :((

I'll just make kwento about our long overdue Blue Corner adventure.. when I get to fix my laptop.

NovemBlog Day 7 : Manic Wednesday

Everything went by so fast today, and I was wondering how was I able to accomplish these tasks.  On the first half of the day, I finished some articles for Yabane and had a meeting with my fellow HRs for the Christmas Party.  During the meeting, we planned the possible program that we can do as well as the groupings for the much awaited Christmas buwis-buhay contest.

Me looking very tired during my trip to DOLE

On the second half of the day, it started when I went to DOLE Laguna Office to submit the requirements that were discussed from yesterday's Kapatiran meeting.I left the office a few minutes after 1 pm and reached the DOLE office in Calamba at around a quarter past 1 pm.  After 15 minutes, I was done and was immediately on our way back to office.

My tired feet

Upon arrival, I was immediately involved on the interview for the receptionist position and the good thing is that we found Ace's (current receptionist) replacement.  Finally!  Also, a funny thing happened during the course of the interview of the applicants, one applicant forced-open our 2F Office door which was installed with an access system.. darn! She almost destroyed the door! Tsk!  Thankfully, Sir Rhed was able to fix it before our dear boss finds out.

We also had some Nihongo classes today and we spent the session preparing for the upcoming recital.

So much for now.. see you bukas!

*** I am blogging everyday this whole month of November!!!

NovemBlog Day 6 : On A Short Notice

I am not going to go into details on what had happened today.. but I will just tell you about the highlights of my day.  Initially, I thought that the highlight was about me auditing import and export, and insurance claims since it'll be my first time auditing about it.. but hell no! Something came up on a short notice and that was my highlight for the day.

Right after lunch, as soon as I finished brushing my teeth and doing my touch-ups, I opened my mail and.. BOOM! Kapatiran meeting at TIP-LTI at around 2:30 pm today.. sent at 12:58 pm.  Had to rush everything, and went to TIP-LTI at around 2:00 pm since we don't want to be late... and guess what? The speaker from DOLE arrived at 4:00pm.. so much for the short notice!

NovemBlog Day 5 : Reality Check...It's Back To Work!

November 5 is one of the most dreaded days of the year.. you know why?  Because it is the day when everyone goes back to work after a 4-day holiday slash long weekend break. And yes, I am one of those who dreaded the coming of November 5.

It started out fine, eventhough I was expecting that father will bring me to work since he would be taking the day off (he is on sick leave)..but he didn't budge.. and he didn't even dared to ask to volunteer.. hahaha! So much for trying to save Php 9.00 off my pocket.  The day went by so quickly since we were having visitors from NJ ...yep! They were the reasons my holiday was cut-short yesterday due to their arrival (refer to by NovemBlog Day 4 post).  I downloaded the CVs of some applicants, saved it on my file, and printed it.. they were rushing me to hire the QA Staff within November.

During pre-lunchtime, we supposedly had a meeting with the ESH Committee but unfortunately, I think, no one was interested since we have sent an email notification as well as announced thru the paging system but no one even dared to go to the venue to inform us that they won't be attending or they would be late for the meeting.. thus, our ESHMR ended up angry, and emailed all employees regarding the importance of ESH... that was after some minutes of homily (sermon) that we got from her. Hay! Why do we have to absorb the anger of our MR which was supposedly meant for those who were tamad and tanga.  Oh life!

Later in the afternoon, we had a meeting regarding the Internal Audit and after that, I excused myself from the Audit Group for Logistics Division since I need to do the checking of the Timekeeping since most of our signatories will be leaving by the end of the week so we were rushing to submit the documents on time for the most anticipated day of the week... PAY DAY! And thankfully, we were able to pass it a few minutes after the deadline. ^happy!^

Got home at around 6:00 pm and I just can't believe I was hungry and realized that I only took a bite of Take It chocolates during breaktime.  And maybe my body was too tired, so I was able to sleep early at around a little past 7 this evening... and I only woke up (at around 10pm) because I haven't updated my blog.  Going back to my ol' bed after this one.  Nyty everyone!

NovemBlog Day 4 : Holiday Cut Short

This is the last day of the long weekend and unfortunately I had to cut it short since I need to report to office at around 4pm with Mhy to check on the cleaning and repair that were being done today since we will be having visitors from the Audit Management Group of NJ.

We don't have much to do but to inspect the place if it is clean.  We had to check every room if everything is in its place and to check if there are any traces of dust.  There were minimal areas that needs further cleaning but all in all everything is clean as expected since the DJs (d'janitors) were cleaning the whole day.

I went home at around 6pm and was very tired.. because I didn't take my regular route in going home.  Unfortunately today is Sunday, meaning tomorrow is Monday.. argh! Back to work mode will be ON again.

Snapshots for NovemBlog Day 3

Here are some of our snapshots during our chat with my uncle, cousin and niece who are in Canada.

NovemBlog Day 3 : Mikaila & Ninang and her Bleeding Nose

Auntie visits Laguna.. yup! Auntie Chita from Canada returned to the Philippines and she dropped by at our place.  Actually, she just went back to Canada last June, but due to some problems she opted to go back home in Zambales.. maybe because aunt will be doing some spanking to my cousins.

Auntie migrated to Canada two years ago with my Uncle Ely.  They have waited for their papers for almost 5 years, and when it was finalized and approved, they immediately flew to Canada.  And here's a picture of the two of them during their first White Christmas in Mississaga, Ontario, Canada.

In the afternoon and evening, I got the chance to talk to my niece, the daughter of ate Charry.  Ate Charry is my cousin who is now residing in Canada with her family--her husband Kuya Erwin, and two kids, Jansen and Mikaila.  Mikaila is also my goddaughter.  We conversed for hours, and I was joking that my English is on a limited edition mode.  And you know what?  ...Mikaila practiced her tagalog while I was talking to her.

Mikaila loves watching TFC, especially Goin' Bulilit and Wansapanataym.   She was telling me stories that she loves watching these two shows, as well as her wish to have more Hello Kitty stuffs. I just can't wait to meet this kiddo.. I haven't seen her in person, but I always talk to her on Skype.. and I am looking forward in meeting her when she pays us a visit on 2014.. or probably I'd visit her next year on her 7th birthday.. watchathink???

NovemBlog Day 2 : At Home ..But Not Alone

Started the day by waking up late.. and how late is that? I got up from my bed at around 8:30 in the morning,  considering that I slept at around 10 pm the night before. Takaw tulog talaga!

Nothing much to do in the morning, but I was glad that it was a weekday so I was able to watch the top raters in daytime slot--Two Wives and Be Careful With My Heart.

Honestly, I was never that interested in watching Two Wives because I don't even know any of the actors,  considering that I love Koreanovelas.  But when mama told me that the story was great, I always find time to watch it if we have a weekday off.

The next one is Be Careful with my Heart.  Eversince I saw the teaser, I was excited to watch this series.  I like Jodi, I have watched her during her Tabing Ilog days and who wouldn't fall for the very charming Richard "Papa Chen" Yap.  I was disappointed to learn that this will be shown in a morning slot, that is why everytime we don't have work on a weekday, I always watch this series.  As well as its rewind every Saturday!

My tita's fam kept us company since yesterday, and had kept the house a little noisy than usual since my two cousins, Maria and Cedie were here.  They went home (back to Manila) at around 6pm because my tita has a lot of laundry washing to do on the remaining two days of the long weekend.

***P.S. Yey! This is my second day on my NovemBlog.. keepin' my fingers crossed so that I could keep this up until the end of the month.  Aja!

NovemBlog Day 1 : Spending The Day with My Dear Sister

It's November 1, and it is a Holiday! Long weekend.. I have missed you so much.  No work until Sunday, November 4... yipee!

In the Philippines, November 1 is a day to observe and remember our dearly departed loved ones, and for my family, it is the time that we got to spend more time with my sister Eca who passed away on February 2006, which is 6 years ago.

This year, it was a little more different, because of some events happened a few days ago.  Last Monday, my  dad was admitted to the hospital and was released yesterday.  He hasn't recovered yet from his sickness that is why this morning, mom and dad just brought me to my sister, helped me out with the tent, and left me there because mama needs to cook for lunch as well as prepare papa's diet.

They arrived at around 12 noon, and a few minutes after, my Tita Kits with her family also arrived.  We had lunch, and though the viand was so simple.. I really enjoyed it a lot.  Who could resist hotdogs and Andok's right?

After taking our lunch, my eyes were feeling heavy so I took a nap.. a very long one to regain the lost energy and to make up for the restless nights prior to November 1.  We even found time to go to SM to buy Zagu.

We left the place at around 8pm because papa needs to recover from being hospitalized, and we only had one vehicle and there were a lot of stuffs we need to load so me, Tita and her husband, Tito had to commute in going home.

Nonetheless, I had spend the day with my sister whom I love and miss so much.

Till we see each other again Eca. :))
