Today, we (Mhy and I) attended two very interesting seminars at the Asian Institute of Management. It was a running joke for the both of us that we were selected to attend this seminar not because we came from the HRAD Division but probably we were the conflicts that they need to manage, as well as the employees with the unacceptable behavior. Haha!
The first seminar was How To Manage Conflict and Confrontation. The speaker was Dr. Virgel Binghay. He was a very animated speaker, however, since the seminar was only on a half-day schedule, it became fast paced in the latter part.
Since we would be attending two separate seminars, it just means that lunch is not included. So, me and Mhy walked our way to Greenbelt and ate our lunch at Reyes Barbecue, since it is the only fast food that doesn't have a long queue of hungry people like us. I ordered Burger Steak, while my companion ordered Bangus Belly. We both had a large iced tea to quench our thirst.
We need to go back to the venue at around 1:30 pm so we still had time to roam around Greenbelt, that's why we had the chance to look into the Mango store. I was thinking of buying a new wallet/coin purse and Mhy was convincing me to buy matching dresses. We agreed to be back to the store after the seminar since it was almost 1:30 pm.
I was quite impressed with Coach Randy Esguerra who led the seminar on How To Deal With Unacceptable Employee Behavior. He made it quite easy to understand by relating the topics with athletes as well as making it relate-able. I would love to attend other seminars with him as the speaker since he was quite generous in giving examples as well as making the crowd alive since it was held in the afternoon which was siesta time.
